i bought a skateboard on ebay today.

yes, me. i've been wanting a longboard for a good few years now. everyone here uses them for commuting to class and they just seem so handy. my roommate works at a surf/skate shop so she helped me pick out the right one. its the same one she has - and i figured hey, a lot of people might have this board.

so i'm taking up a project. #1 i need to learn how to ride this damn thing - evening lessons are going to be taught in the parking lot under the cover of darkness by myself and the pavement. i have a feeling i will be hitting it often.

#2 i'm painting it. im thinking this: sand off the original graphic, acrylic gesso to prep it, acrylic paints for the design, lightly sand the image, and then seal it with polyurethane. if anyone has any other suggestions or experience with this - please let me know.

anyway, thats my rant for the evening. i'm going to go pass out because ive been going nonstop today since 8 AM.
